Members of the US/ICOMOS Archaeological Heritage Management Committee bring a diversity of skills and experiences to the task of site management. This being so,
we are able employ the technologies and rigorous protocols that have been developed by archaeologists, historical architects,
architectural historians, materials conservators, site conservators, archivists, historians, anthropologists, and curators. As importantly, our membership includes park and protected area managers, planners, architects, and others in fields that demand the practical application of international standards and conventions for the preservation of cultural properties. We think that our combined assets should be used to add value to preservation efforts around the world.
